Purpose

Fintech for good

We’re celebrating the FS solutions that have purpose at their core. Whether it’s social good, sustainability or smashing the patriarchy, we want to see positive change.

  • Supporting efforts to fight and reduce climate change
  • Able to demonstrate a measurable improvement to people’s lives through fintech

Financial wellbeing

Making sure that our customers understand what they’re buying and how to interact with financial products is our industry’s single biggest challenge and responsibility. Through financial education or financial advice, companies that are doing this well create customer value as well as business value.
Criteria
Awarded to initiatives aimed at helping customers improve their financial wellbeing by:
  • Helping customers track their spending, save for emergencies, save for retirement, manage debt, make sound investment decisions and/or protect themselves from risk
  • Using technology to help customers understand their current situation and the decisions and trade-offs they face
  • Using behavioural economics or game mechanics to encourage better financial decisions
  • Helping customers understand the financial decisions and trade-off they are making through content, education and advice throughout the user journey

Consumer game changer

We see more and more of the same companies year on year. But who’s solving a problem that no one else has? Whose impact on the market has been unique? Who’s given consumer money management a long-overdue shakeup? Who’s leaving others in the dust?
