Fintech is constantly evolving and creating new ways to deliver a positive customer experience. But if they can do it, surely everyone else can too?

Moving into a new field, from study or another sector, is always a daunting task. Especially when it’s something as new and undefined as fintech can be. Luckily, we did a show at the Cass Finance Conference dedicated to breaking into fintech. Examining the dos and don’ts of entering the field are: Jeff Tijssen, 11:FS Head of Consulting, Sophie Winwood, Head of Partnerships at Innovate Finance, and Valentina Kristensen Head of PR and Marketing at Oak North. Our three veterans of the field speak with Fintech Insider host Ross Gallagher. Covering the skills you need to make it in the fintech world. You can download the podcast here or click play below. Alternatively, read on for a summary and highlights. Read on anyway, it’s interesting stuff.

There was a moment during the pandemic where we collectively dreamt of a better world.

A few weeks ago, we wrote an article about migrant workers in the Middle East and their access to financial services. We can’t continue the conversation about regional financial exclusion without talking about the gender gap.

For Fintech Insider’s news show Simon and Jason are joined by 11:FS NED Chris Skinner, Tanya Andreasyan, Editor at Banking Technology; Kristian Luoma – Head of OP Lab, in town from Helsinki for one night only and Cliff Evans, Head of Digital Banking at Capgemini, to take on the week’s top stories. This week they look at the monumental shifts in both global stock exchanges and crypto markets; the US take on Open Banking, and exciting developments in the SME space both here and abroad. About two months ago I wrote a job ad for a “Programme Delivery Lead” to come and join us at 11:FS to create a digital financial services product and take it to market. But things didn’t quite go as expected.

Note – I use female loosely here to include all those who identify with feminine traits, partially, wholly or barely. The idea is not to be gender normative or exclusionary, so please excuse AND educate me if that is happening here. This is taken from our Unfiltered newsletter.
