You know they say you shouldn’t start a diet and give up smoking at the same time? Or get married and start a new job? Or whatever?

One thing we hear a lot about here at 11:FS is how frustrating bad user experiences can be. Especially when trying to complete finance-based tasks – it’s not ideal considering the impact that these tasks can have on our everyday lives.

There’s a sweltering heat wave hitting the city and I’ve never been so thankful for the office air conditioning. We’ve just entered July, everyone’s moving onto their Q3 targets and writing reports on Q2. So what happened in Q2 for the fintech world? And where are we about to go for Q3? I take a look at the 11 biggest stories that happened in fintech over the last three months.

Behavioural Economics has been having a good few years. It’s a topic that’s won multiple Nobel prizes, saved the UK taxpayer hundreds of millions of pounds, and is rapidly becoming one of the tools used by the best product and policy designers around the world.

At 11:FS, we spend a lot of time looking at next-generation mobile trends and technology. Every now and again we come across a product or feature that just blows us away. It can be as simple as a smart integration with another product or as complicated as a whole app that’s powered by bleeding edge technology.

And that’s what happened at the 2025 British Bank Awards, where 11:FS was named Consultancy of the Year. Again! 2019. 2020. 2021. 2023. And now 2025.
